Thursday 26 July Interesting Talk at 7.30pm – Dr Vic Morgan will speak on ‘The Paston Family Treasure and its Context’. (See the exhibition at the Castle on now.)
Friday 27 July is Norfolk Day. St Peter Mancroft Church is hosting an Ecumenical Celebration Service to give thanks to God for all that Norfolk is, and for all Christians in Norfolk. It will be at 9.30am and led by Bishop Graham. A new Norfolk Stole will also be unveiled. Tea, coffee, fellowship and fun to follow!
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 September Do you have the St Giles Patronal Festival in your diaries? The annual Parish Fete will be on Saturday 1 Sept from 11.00am to 2.00pm and the Festival Mass on Sunday 2 Sept at 10.30am followed by the Fun Auction. Do get involved – speak to Annie, Pat Emsell, Elsie or Rod.
For the Fete Please could you bring in any tombola and raffle prizes, bric-a-brac and books you may have at home, and cakes on the day, if you can. Also Jillian is hoping to sell some charity cards made from recycled greetings cards and it would be great if people could bring in old cards for her beforehand. Thank you.
Our July Charity is the Magdalene Group. If you would like to add to the PCC’s donation then do please put it in the box on the table by the Charity noticeboard.
Salvation Army Pottergate ARC – please do keep bringing in donations of tins and packets and place them in the box in the Tower Vestry. Thank you!
