Third Sunday of Lent
Whatever our circumstances and however we may feel, let us come again to God, our heavenly Father, and offer him our worship.
There is a retiring collection today and every Sunday during Lent to support Water Aid and the Diocesan Lent Project (see Lent leaflet). Lent is a time for almsgiving so please give generously.

Today is your last chance to sign up to go on our new Electoral Roll Please ask our E.R. Officer Dr Carole Hill for a form and fill it in after Mass then pass it to Carole TODAY! No new names can be added until after the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM). If you are joining our Electoral Roll you may also like to consider joining our scheme for regular giving (please see Treasurer John Baldry).
Today is also the deadline for signing up for the Parish Lunch if there are any places left. The lunch follows the APCM on Sunday 7 April at 12.30 to eat at 1.00pm, and will be at the Coach and Horses in Bethel Street. All monies must be paid by today to our Treasurer John Baldry. Thank you.
The APCM 2018 booklet with Annual Reports and Accounts is available at the back of church. Please leave a donation of £1.30 to cover printing costs. Do take it home to read in preparation for the APCM on Sunday 7 April (Passion Sunday).
The Christian Aid ‘Count Your Blessings’ scheme is running throughout Lent. Please do collect a form from the back of church to take home, and return your donation to our Christian Aid representative Lindsey Green at the end of Lent. Thank you! And copies of our church Lent leaflet are also available at the back of church.
The next Interesting Talk is this Thursday 28 March at 7.30pm. It will be given by Elspeth Rushbrook, author. Elspeth’s talk is entitled ‘Words and Music: growing up in East Anglia’.
Recycled Easter Cards made by Jillian Buckingham will be available to buy from next Sunday, Mothering Sunday, onwards. All proceeds to St Giles.
Our next Bible Study will be on Tuesday 23rd April at 7.30pm. Further details will be posted when available.
Advance notice of Art Exhibition at St Giles. Some of the St Giles artists have been meeting together, and we plan an exhibition on 13 and 14 July coinciding with the Norwich Lanes event. Our theme will be ‘Intersecting Journeys’. We invite all to take part! Please let Father Peter know (email email@example.com ) if you would like to exhibit. We’ll give half of any proceeds to St Giles Church. We plan to include a time for reflection, linking the art with God’s presence with us in St Giles Church and how our lives are held within God’s love.
Our March Charity is Water Aid. Do please put donations in the box on the table by the Charities board.
Salvation Army Pottergate ARC Please do keep bringing in donations of tins and packets and place them in the box in the Tower Vestry.
Open Church St Giles is now open on Monday afternoons, Tuesday mornings, Wednesday mid-day, Friday mornings and Saturday mid-day. Please pray that all visitors and pilgrims will find peace in our sacred space.
Traidcraft Kate is not able to do a stall now until after Easter but you can still order Easter items including the Real Easter Egg! Please see the top of the bookcase by the Tower Vestry door at the back of church.
Any donations of wine for consumption at church events would be most gratefully received by the Churchwardens. Please do bring them in. Thank you very much!

For reflection… As Christians our lives are the fifth gospel; we are often the only gospel that other people will read. God calls us to play the part in the conversion stories that He still wants to write.
