The Christian Community of St Giles-on-the-Hill

welcomes you to worship with them on

Sunday 31 March 2019

Mothering Sunday

Come young and old, women and men, parents and children: come one and all to give thanks to God the Father of us all and to Jesus Christ his Son, our friend and brother. Come, and in the power of the Holy Spirit, rejoice that we are one today in praise and thanksgiving.

There is a retiring collection today, and every Sunday during Lent, to support Water Aid and the Diocesan Lent Project. Lent is a time for almsgiving so please give generously.

Our thanks to Dot Head who has made our posies for Mothering Sunday. The liturgical colour today is rose which brings with it some respite from our Lenten discipline.

There is a celebratory glass of wine after the Mass today as we give thanks to God for all mothers.

For reflection… As Christians our lives are the fifth gospel; we are often the only gospel that other people will read. God calls us to play the part in the conversion stories that He still wants to write.
